I got the 256GB AT&T iPhone 8 with AppleCare and a case so with tax it was like over $1,000 bucks.

But I absolutely LOVE this phone and have no regrets at all.

The screen doesn’t have even tint when True Tone is on (slightly more orange at bottom) but after a day of use I don’t even care.

EDIT: I paid cash and when I plugged it into iTunes it said congrats it’s unlocked :D

But isn't the X the best phone in history? https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/the-iphone-x-is-the-best-phone-in-history-period.2084170/

Why would someone have Regrets buying something they wanted to purchase to begin with? Everybody has different preferences.

I got the 8 at launch and love it, but then I got the X too (didn't intend to but I was drawn in) and love it too. There are definitely pros and cons, like the 8 just feels so solid, it's the final evolution of that iPhone line and it is so well constructed. The X somehow feels more fragile as I handle it, but man the screen is nice.

Actually iPhone 8plus 256gb selling for $1000 is not bad.

Both are running near the same baring the size and home button. In fact I feel getting iPhone 8plus over iPhone X may be better for some.

The only worry is the glass on the iphone 8 can crack more easier then iPhone X when dropped.

Consumers need to purchase what they want and what their content with. My point was, why would somebody regret something that they knowingly are purchasing before they actually buy the product. They know exactly what they're buying.

Some get for the fact of owning the latest Apple phone. It's silly but true. I was just looking at both phones and giving my opinion.

Coming from 7 plus 128gb to 8 plus 256 gb, I got zero regrets. In my opinion X is to expensive (256gb model) and to small. And due to my fair share of using apple products i will never ever ever buy first gen apple product again :D
I personally think that the prices for modern top tier smart phones are extremely high. The are called most personal computer and stuff but in the end of the day it's just a phone and it's not going to replace my macbook any time soon.

Sometimes people buy something then are like “DOH! Why did I buy that”

“Buyers remorse” or something

I think part of the reason I do love it is bc this is the so called 4th iteration of the iPhone 6 as I’ve heard some people say.

It’s just such a great device. The screen is incredible.

I bought a used 128GB iPhone 7 with one year of Apple Care for $480 on eBay. I would absolutely regret spending that much for an 8 just for wireless charging and True Tone and a 25 to 30% faster processor.

Well I needed 256GB. And I don’t think I could ever go back to using a phone without True Tone tbh.

I know many people don’t like the True Tone but I love it!

And speed is just a bonus for me and I don’t care for wireless charging.

That being said I agree it’s a steep price but I don’t have any regrets.

Sorry I didn't mean to try and bring down your happiness lol. I was dead set on getting my new iPhone this year (I am coming from a 6S) but the X is purposely overpriced and the 8 just wasn't compelling enough for me so I went with a cheap used 7 to get me to next year.

Why is this 1,000 price so much of a concern now. Many threads and posts on it. I paid 980.00 for my 6s Plus, 128gb over two years ago. A two generation old iphone. I don't remember all the clamor about price back then. May be wrong on that.

Well, to be fair, isn't that what regret is basically about--wanting to get something and getting it (especially if it cost a lot and/or involved a lot of effort to obtain) and then for one reason or another, or many reasons, realize that it's not quite what you expected and/or that there's something else out there that would actually be better fitting for you?

I actually like the 7 a lot. The red one is especially nice IMO. What color did you get? Just curious.

I don’t have any regrets to be honest.

The uneven True Tone is the ONLY thing but I’m ok with it I guess.

I had switched it out several times but no luck.

The bottom is slightly more orange-y.

I paid taxes up front and will be paying $47 a month for next 12months. So only costing about $600 for the $1,200 phone. Then I will get the next new one.

No regrets at all. Love the new iPhone X. Screen, Face ID, and swipe gestures.. can’t wait for new iPad Pro with Face ID and gestures. Every time I use my current iPad Air 2 I get irritated when I have to use home button. Have swiped up so many times on it wearing groove in screen.

Monthly isn’t a bad option for some but I honestly wanted to just buy it out right. And with Apple care plus I feel pretty secure Incase I break it accidentally
