Was swimming today and left my phone on the deck under the umbrella. Well the sun moved and went I went to grab it, the thing was super hot and hand a screen saying it needed to cool down before use. I tried to turn it off, but it wouldn't give me that option.

It went back to normal after 3 mins inside. Do you think I damaged any hardware? This is the first I've seen of this screen.

People who put their iPhones in their car dash as a GPS will experience the same message.

Scary, but your phone is fine.

Nah, the phone has safety measures built in to prevent that from happening.
