According to Adam Carolla, the only two places the craziest **** in the world occurs in is either Germany or Florida..

In this case, utility officials aside, this is a damn good prank! Well done!

Everyone must fear Dihydrogen monoxide. It is a colorless, tasteless, and odorless liquid and has claimed the lives of many. However, it is only lethal in massive quantities.

And we wonder why the US ranks so low among all the nations.

Idiots will belive anything... not to mention 20 seconds on a google search would have solved there momentary idiocy.

Please explain to me under which law or legal theory one might be charged with a felony for telling people they were drinking dihydrogen monoxide.

Heaven help these people if they'd told their jaw-dragging listeners that large numbers of homo sapiens had been identified teaching in their schools and selling their precious children hamburgers and fries.

The First Amendment, as we know it, is all but dead. The idiots have truly taken over the asylum.

It's too bad we can't charge the complainers with felony stupidity. People who are so dumb that they freak out over someone telling them they're drinking dihydrogen monoxide clearly can't contribute anything useful to society.

I guess it could be argued under the same principle of yelling fire in a movie theater when there isn't one......

That is the only way I can think of as to how to justify this....

Well it would be like yelling fire in a movie theater when there is a fire.

Just because people are ignorant doesn't mean that these people need to be fire and stuff. How simply atrocious.

I'm not saying they got what they deserved or anything. Just saying that is how the authorities could go after them under that principle..... The only way I can think of how this could be a felony. Do I think they should be charged with a felony? No. This has been a practical joke for a long time now.

I don't think that there is any way they could go after them no matter what. It's just so ridiculous. It really makes me sad. The charges will be dropped. They can't possibly prosecute them based on using the scientific name of something. Just can't.

I hope the State of Florida gets it's collective ass handed to it.

Yep. There's even an entire website devoted to it. Someone spent a lot of time making this one.

This is stretching...I mean really stretching it...but what they did could be construed as shouting fire in a theater due to how they worded it.

Yeah, it's just water. We know that. But I'm sure a bunch of Floridians heard it and thought they had been drinking some kind of ULTRA KILL POISON and went straight into panic mode. MY BAAABBBBIES DRANK WATTER FROM THA TAP!

That said, thinking about a bunch of people freaking out over water is pretty damn funny. :D

It seems that exposing a person's ignorance/stupidity in America is often considered a felony. :(

Eh, I've known both liberals and conservatives who have fallen for that gag. The average American in general is just not very knowledgeable when it comes to science.
