A friend of mine has an Andriod phone but for some reason my phone thinks its an iphone and tries to use iMessage and he doesn't get the texts. I have to turn off my imessage to text him and I don't want to do that. I have tried deleting the contact and reloading it and that doesn't work. Is there anyway to tell my phone that he doesn't have an iphone? This is the only person its done this on. Thanks!

His number is probably still associated with an apple ID.

Until he fixes it on his end, you can send as iMessage, but click and hold the text bubble after it sends to select send as text message. That way you don't have to turn off iMessage.
