I was looking around at VESA mounts for the new iMac G5's on :
http://www.ergotron.com
They have a wide variety of mounts that seems like they would be nice to use with the new iMacs. I noticed one I really liked:
http://www.ergotron.com/3_products/flat_panel/neoFlex/default.asp

The problem is it only supports displays up to 18 pounds....and the 17" iMac comes in at 18.5 pounds. This mount looks nice and runs $139 + $30 for the iMac VESA Mount Kit from Apple.....which is a lot to pay for the flexibility of the G4 iMac, but bearable.
But since the iMac weights 0.5 pounds too much for this mount you cannot use it........the next one up is:
http://www.ergotron.com/3_products/flat_panel/200_arms/default.asp

Now you're looking at $265 for this mount + $30 for the iMac VESA Mount Kit.
That is going to cost $300+ to be able to mount your iMac and make it as flexible as the G4's are.
Are there any other websites offering VESA Mounting devices that would not be so expensive? If not, I find it kind of ridiculous that Apple advertises this iMac so heavily with 'zero footprint' capabilities knowing you need to spend another $300 just to get this ability....and more if you are needing one for the 20" G5 iMacs.

Or maybe I'm just upset that I'll not be buying a VESA mount at these prices and I'll have to live without the flexibility that I had with my G4 iMacs:(

One other thing that I just noticed. Ergotron recommends that for every inch of thickness your monitor has beyond 1" that you should deduct 6 pounds of weight ability from the VESA Stand. The 17" iMac is 1.99 inches thick and the 20" is nearly 2.2 inches thick (or at least that's what it states in small print on this Apple page):
http://www.apple.com/imac/
This means you need a stand that will hold around 25 pounds-32 pounds to be able to support the iMac G5's. Now you are looking at Ergotron's Heavy Duty Mounts for the 20" iMac G5.
