Just got my $1500 Hermès AW6 watch that I've been eagerly waiting for. It is beautiful, but in my bathroom light I noticed something. On several parts around the edges of the screen, where it meets the stainless steel edge, there appears to be some discoloring, dents or something. I don't know what exactly it is, but the coating or color is uneven. Nothing sticks out or feels weird when I trace my finger around it, so no cracks, chips, I think.

It looks way worse in these pictures, since it can only be seen from certain angles/light - but would you accept this? Is this common for the stainless steel version? I don't know what to do since I had to wait quite a while to be able to order/get this -_-

Just noticed it on my Hermès after looking at your photos. I got mine Friday.

I moved my fingernail along it and it came off. Try that, please let us know if that works?

Looks like overspray coating to me. I have never owned a Hermes. For the price paid, I would demand better.

It’s a regular Apple Watch Stainless Steel with Hermès writing and the faces. The fact that i didn’t notice it on mine until this thread, and the fact that it came off with my fingernail says it’s all good. Actually seemed like lint.

I can't believe this actually worked?!:oops: I still have a few speckles left, since I didn't want to press too hard as I don't want to scratch the stainless steel or watch with my nails or create a gap, but I think I managed to remove the worst of it. Now I can actually enjoy my long awaited watch - thanks!!! Would not have liked to go through an exchange/return since I ordered directly from Hermès.

There’s probably no way of knowing but the display looks like it’s been re-sealed for some reason. Some folks have complained about being able to move the screen from side to side.

Must had been something with the coating. Maybe use a toothpick for the remainder or pop it under water?

Is this a new development or specific to Hermes watches? I've never heard of that happening
