Depends on the age. Obviously, any child between the age of 1-10 probably shouldn't be exposed to that.

Depends on the age that the cartoon is geared towards. I do think TV tries to make it look like gay people are way more common than they actually are. If I remember correctly the number is around 5% of the population yet almost every show has a gay couple on it.

Is kissing considered sexual content? I don't know. I just know that sneaking in same sex kissing in a cartoon would probably raise some concerns/confusing to a child.

I would say they shouldn't be seeing any orientation at that age range.

I meant sexual orientation. My bad.

Who cares? Every single one of us missed key adult themes in cartoons growing up. Besides, that behavior exists and happens all around us. Best thing to do is if your kids ask, be honest with them and most importantly, let them know it's okay to be different (if you are not in a same sex relationship) or that they are just like us (if you are in a same sex relationship).

I have two young kids and a brother who is homosexual and has lived with the same partner as long as they can remember. They are just fine and don't judge. Which is how we want them to be as adults.

When I said "I'm okay with that." I was answering your question. No child other than Oedipus wants to see Mom and Dad, Dad and Dad. Mom and Mom making out.

I watched all of the looney toons as a kid and watching the coyote get blown up trying to kill the road runner didn't scar me.

All the firefights GI Joe got into, as a kid I never put it together that both sides had bad aim.

I don't see a problem with it. If a straight kiss is age-appropriate, then a same sex kiss has to be too, right?

Wait for the self righteous to come out of the woodwork and demand Disney burn in hell for it.

The show in question, Star vs The Forces of Evil, is weird, but it's geared towards teens.
My oldest daughter watches it. It's kind of funny I guess. I catch bits here and there when she's watching it.
I have no problem with it. It's life.

My daughter has seen my brother in law kiss his husband and it's been explained to her very early on that it's not just the opposite sex that marry. My daughter is 3 and was a grooms maid at their wedding last year.

Good for Disney, it can only be positive to show this. Children need to be shown this sort of thing in order to be accepting and not turn into judgmental morons. It's the 21st century after all.

We have kisses between gay couples on adverts here during the day so it's not a big deal. It's also very common in soap operas so thankfully children here see it anyway.
