I got a shipment of LCDs the other day. Instead of B154PW01s, they were B154PW02s.

I was a little annoyed. I am sick of receiving different stuff than what I order. I have a whole page on my website dedicated to discouraging this practice. I tried the B154PW02 out next to a machine with a B154PW01. Me and a friend couldn't tell the difference, so I figured I'd lower the price 20% to represent this and use them.

When it first went into a machine, it would only show half the screen. Then I'd reboot, and from then on in it would always show a complete screen.

With the last one, it would not do this. It would boot up, show a full screen for both the safe mode boot(apple S) and would show the apple logo and the full gray screen behind it: however, when OSX loaded not only did it look FUBAR but it also had half the screen.

I tried using an external monitor to change the resolution and do some stuff, tried resetting PRAM, and same ****. An OSX install DVD produces the same result.

How is it that three of these could work absolutely fine, and the computer somehow got used to them, but this one doesn't? Ehst could I be missing?
