I don't know if this has been done already, but I did this as part of a school project on found-object design. It's made from a CD, and some earbuds. Didn't think much of it at the time but I use it everyday.

It did, but I sync with two separate computers, one for music & video, the other for pics, contacts, and calendar. Also keep in mind it was for a school project.

Very nice dock! Motivates me into making my own, since my vaja case sadly doesnt allow the iPhone to fit in its original dock.

The project was to take an object and re-purpose it, it was a project for an industrial design class. I chose to re-purpose a cd into an iPhone dock mainly for the irony factor, and because I needed two docks. And as for syncing with two different computers, I've never had to do anything special for that, but my phone is jailbroken/unlocked.

how do you sync on two different computers?

I really don't like that they limit this myself. I have two computers. They shouldn't designate things by device but instead by user. I have the same user info on both machines. They're going to have to do this at some point anyway. It benefits them in the long run as consumers would purchase more devices.

hey, which 3rd party app do you use to sync on two different computers? is it swaptunes? because the installer wont download it

CD iPhone Dock

How did you did the iPhone mold onto the CD? And do you have a pic of the bottom? I'm very interested in trying to make one at home.

thanks!
