Do I have to line up if I pre-order the 5C?

My apologies if this has been asked before.

We all know the 5C can be pre-ordered tonight, while Apple isn't taking pre-orders on the 5S. Both the 5C and 5S will be available in local apple stores on Sept. 20th.

If I pre-order the 5C tonight, do I have to wait in line with everyone else on the 20th? Do I just walk inside the store?

This is my first time pre-ordering an iPhone

You might not be able to order for in-store pickup via pre-order. I would just get it shipped.

I'm getting different responses  but thanks anyway. I'll just find out myself tonight.

I would think Personal Pickup would be an option, but for a definite answer, I've always found 1(800)MY-APPLE to be extremely helpful and very courteous. ;)

lol thanks man. Another thread stated that pre-ordering for in-store pick-up might backfire if they run out of stock. Home delivery it is.

The whole point of Pre orders is so you can have your phone delivered to your house on launch day.

My oversight. Guess I've been so absorbed with my options for the 5s I'm mixing them up with the 5c... :p
