My friend told me they didn't ask him for one but I read that you need one. Anyone have a clue? Thanks

You need a credit card. In Canada you can also charge it to your next phone bill instead.

If you don't have any credit history they will probably charge you a deposit fee, they can be up to $400 dollars.

yeah I heard about that giant fee maybe i'll just ask my dad since his is 815 credit score.

You should do that, and then just have it billed to your address, and pay every month for the bill yourself. :) Problem solved.

sounds good hopefully my parents dont freak each month seeing it 90 a month. I make enough to afford it but we'll see what they say since it will be my graduation gift for myself since them and my grandparents bought me a car.(2009 Nissan Altima Coupe). Maybe I can have it billed to my account and pay the bill online through TD bank. Not sure yet.

Yeah I guess just get the bill in the mail and BAM pay it on the computer through online banking for TD bank. I read its convenient that way.

By the way i'm on verizon now.

Beware of the Early Termination Fee if your contract isn't up, and you disconnect/port out. The ETF depreciates $5 a month, and there is no way out of it. :(

Yeah I got you lol I already know that I should have a 130 dollar termination fee as of right now I have 330 for the Iphone it was 400 but had to get stuff for mothers day! :D

You might consider starting your own credit history. You could try getting a secure charge card through your bank. Normally these require that you maintain a fixed amount in your savings which matches your credit limit. Even if that doesn't give you what is necessary to enter into the contract, you might consider using that card to pay your monthly bill. Then when the card bill comes pay it off, in full and on time. I know that this sounds a little complex for something so simple it will show your ability to meet your financial commitments.

Those that have credit scores north of 800 like your dad had to start somewhere.

Yes you do. I had no credit history whatsoever so i had to pay $500 deposit fee. I know it's ripoff but i wanted Iphone THAT bad.. :apple:

When I got my first contract phone, I had to pay £150 but got it back after a year. When I got my iPhone, I passed the credit check. BOOM! :D

oh alright so you think my best bet is just using my dads and paying him each month? lol
