Seeing the recent 'Summer Offers' as it appears from Apple UK. The following marketing blurb is used by apple:

"With new low prices on both 12-inch and 15-inch models, there's never been a better time to step up to the power, versatility and style of the latest PowerBook. If computing on the move is your top requirement, then wireless networking with AirPort Extreme will ensure you are always on the go! Enhance your PowerBook's performance with optional RAM upgrades: up to 1.25GB on the 12-inch and up to 2GB on the 17-inch models. You might even consider stepping out in style with a Brenthaven bag to hold your PowerBook and all its accessories. PowerBook now starting at £1,299, these and more - all at the Apple Store."

Does this mean that 970 PowerBooks are maybe due 'later' in the summer. This move may be to clear stock before an update? If people responded to this offer now - only to find new 970 PowerBooks at WWDC they might feel more than a little annoyed at apple. So, is this offer an indication that any 970 PowerBooks are a little further away?

    What do you think?

well, i don't know. All i know is that the apple guy at apple store in canada said that 970's on wwdc. his guess was that they already havea a stockpile of powermacs and possibley portables. it would be nice if they released them early. that's only like two weeks. but i don't know what that thing for the UK is. yeah could you provide a link?
