Because the pronunciation is way better. The male voice is way more realistic.

Like Jarvis from Iron Man, for example, or something like that perhaps?

Apple released the new feature a while ago and yet no one knew about it?

I thought the " big grin" emoji would clue most people in that I was making a joke? Slow crowd I guess.

Even jokes can have responses. (But thanks for the insult there.)

I knew it was a joke but why would that stop me from responding to it?

Maybe because a female might prefer to hear a male's voice. ;)

When I listen to Siri, I'm listening to what sounds more real. And the male voice sounds like a real person.

I heard that if you use the male voice the driving directions are much better...

Male (I've never bothered to change it and the default seems to vary by country).

I wish they had a female Australian voice like my Garmin does.

Never really considered which voice sounded better, but randomly chose the male voice for my iPhone and the female for my iPad, mainly because is was possible and make them distinct.

I find that female Siri 2.0 sounds a little more muffled compared to the male voice. And yeah, it does sound more natural.

Tbh didn't even know there was an option. Guess I don't find much use for Siri to bother.

Is that the latest "fad" and "hip" thing do--not use some feature and be proud of it for some reason?

Female, as I don't want another man in my pants. :p

But seriously, I just prefer the female voice.
