Do you own a hoodie?
I own a couple of them.
American Apparel are my favorite, but if I had the money I'd like to try Loopwheeler.
I have a couple from my college. Biggest downside to them for me is that they don't layer well.
I own four. Wear one almost every day of the fall/winter/spring.
Yes. Depends on what your definition of 'hoodie' is.
For me, I'm referring to hooded sweatshirts. I have at least 5 of them, 2 from the universities I attended overseas.
Just counted, I have 11 of them
Hmm, interesting poll results....I never have except for a winter coat!
Why do you ask?
Because Trayvon Martin was wearing one and it has been suggested by some members of the media that wearing a hoodie equates to being a criminal or a thug. So minority children shouldn't wear them because they might get shot for being "suspicious".
The poll is meant to illustrate that the vast majority of people own or at least have at one point owned hoodies.
3 pullovers, 3 zippered, plus whatever's at my parents' house in my old bedroom
No, not much use for one in Florida.
Hey, there are 7-10 days of the year a hoodie comes in handy here!
Heck, I love them. Comfortable like nothing else.
Own a few, great for snowblowing i have a champion one that is extremely thick and warm. Definitely not meant for sitting around the house but with an underarmor shirt its awesome.
My university is one of the best public unis in the US; With any hope, the likes of that dude will never make it onto our campus on a cold day because he'd have a field day. Most people wear hoodies, even some of the professors use them.
I guess that makes us a bunch of thugs or something.
I don't wear a "hoodie" because new ones can be quite expensive.
Yes, and contrary to what Geraldo believes, I'm not a gangster or thug. My worst crime is a speeding ticket.
I've seen some 9$ hoodies... is that what you consider expensive ?
OP, your poll won't prove anything. I've worn hoodies all my life, a lot of people do. You're not changing anyone's mind though. It's called "spin". The hoodie is the angle they grabbed on to.
Yes, many. Favorite attire kicking around in the winter.
I'm white, educated, professional engineer. Even wear to work, actually I have a fatigued grey nautica one hanging in my cube I wear when it's chilly in the laboratory.
I have at least 5 or 6 of 'em, and I wear them often because they're comfortable as hell.
the place I work many people wear hoodies and I definitely would not consider them thugs. However a few blocks over people wearing the hoodies, pants below their butts and their underwear hanging out, hood over their head and dragging their feet while walking some may draw a different perception of that person.
