Obviously, this one only applies to laptop owners...
I admit that I have. Gotta love Airport.
you see, young man, it goes like this (as a senior citizen man tells a young person)
yesterday was a good day!
at 6 am, i pissed this stream a good six feet...i could have put out a fire
and at 7 am, i took a dump the size of the empire state building...and i was mighty proud
only problem, i woke up at eight
There are some details about people we're better off NOT knowing.
Can't say as I've had, but then again my PowerBook does have an AirPort card...
ha ha ha ha that's one of the funniest things I've read in ages....... you've made my day......
And in answer to the thread topic.... I've never been in anyone called John, it's not my style if you know what I mean.... heh heh heh Nor have I used my TiBook in the lav either.......
you see, i am safe with my old rev a ibook...that thing is so darn big (and heavy), that it can't fall into the toilet
now the new ibook could easily accidentaly get flushed
Well no, I don't know if I'm ready to take my laptop into the bathroom with me. Maybe in a few years when it gets really obselete.
I wonder what else people do with their laptops while in the bathroom........ especially with Airport cards.........
a freind of mine is a marine biologist and when he works for stanford, hopkins marine, they just toss that thing. rev b firewire graphite ibook, on the boat with the rest of the gear and sometimes they encounter a bumpy ride with swelling seas
and the funny thing is, that salty scratched ibook holds up...he has trashed pc laptops in the past doing his fish gathering/testing or whatever they do out in the open ocean
and in all the trips out to sea, the guy does not bring a laptop bag...i don't suggest putting your ibook through those types of trials
another man i know, many years in the us navy, never got seasick until he took out one of those small research vessels out just off shore...i guess the pacific ocean could toss a 80 ft boat in a way it can't toss a 600 ft navy destoyer
Nothing like the stories of a leaky old man.
At least there was no ointment of any sort involved in the story...
I haven't yet, but with the wireless set up in the house, I can. Knowing that is more than enough - I'll probably never put it to the test.
well, i'm all set up in the john... got my dual 800 next to me. keyboard on the lap. display on the sink
only problem i had was with the mouse... what's the best spot for the mouse?
Re: Do you post while in the john?
Why not a poll about this? héhéhé
no never done it.
did it once too difficult
doing it once in a while
Seems that I get a postcount boost every time I'm in the John.
Damn is it already that late, I forgot to get off, damn ... one more post then.
Or something like that
Well you got that thingie on the wall where you have the toiletpaper in ...
I think that'll do.
ahh yes. that works like a charm. thanks!
he he he....if I had an airport card....I'd probably bring my TiBook in with me...set it ontop of the clothes hamper directly in front of the toilet...
Re: Re: Do you post while in the john?
I intended to, but the option wasn't there...or I didn't see it. *shrug*
of course i post on the crapper. bathroom internet is the wave of the future.
Can't say I ever have or would want to....but who knows, when I eventually get a TiBook I may do
I'm not gonna start a whole thread about it, but I just have to note that this is my 1000th post! Wooooowhooooo!
Perfect thread choice for revealing this nugget of information.
as soon as i get wireless il tell you from on the john
what the hell is wrong with you people, anyway... posting on the john... well i could make the john pun, but it wouldn't be polite (and he spelled it Jon anyway)... heh... otherwise never posted on the toilet, tho i do admit to having worked on laptops there, i dont have one now!
hey i wrote a 30 page essay on the john.
its the only way to get work done, and all that you need is a frezer and a microwave and and a lifetime suply of hot pockets, and you are set for life
I've done it once or twice, but that's only when I couldn't pry myself away from my internet connection... The bad part is the ethernet cable running from my room to the bathroom
Haven't done so... yet
The iBook does have an Airport card. Maybe I'll try it when I can get DSL and an Airport network...
