iPod touch Do you think Apple would do this?

Since there was a rumor going about that the ipod touch and that ONLY the ipod touch had technical issues with the camera in production, that apple is selling what they can right now, and that a few months from now will pop up with a camera. all with the same specs?

example: new ipod touch out. january ipod touch with camera!

I believe they did something similiar when the iphone came out.

Deeply disappointed potential Ipod touch buyer is going to wait until january.

They released the 16GB iPhone in February after a June release. I would imagine that the timing would be more in line with later in Spring. There was a suggestion earlier that we would wait two months and then see an update, that won't happen.

Six months and maybe?

jeez, thats another RUMOUR. lol. (you might want to wiki that word btw ;) )

didn't you all learn from the last one? dont pin any hopes on anything until Apple tell you so themselves. then you cant get disappointed.

Im actually a noob at the whole apple thing.

Yeah i know its a rumor but im clinging on to it just as i did the rumor of a camera.
 
How many are going to wait to see if does get a camera in 6 months time before buying?

apple might pull a fast one is what im saying. If its true that there is production problems with the camera, then they should come out at a later time(a couple of months) after selling enough ipod touches. They know people will be mad but wont care. they've done it before.
 
I don't see it happening but maybe an argument can be made for January - Apple needs to do something around CES 2010. No way they release a Touch before Christmas.

I can't believe we're already talking about waiting another 6 months...
 
We all agree a camera would be great.
is it worth the wait?

Im afraid of buying the ipod touch now and having apple come out with a camera less than a year later! its soo scary because then i wasted so much money and still not be able use skype with the gf with video and stuff.

That's what really ticks me off about this.
I skipped the 2nd gen update because I wanted to wait for an awesome 3rd gen release. But I don't want to spend $400 for this half-assed "update" only to get extra space, especially when something much better will more than likely come out to surprise everyone for Q1 2010.
