Do you think there's any chance that iOS 8.4 update will be up before 8 am?

IIRC there have been instances in the past where an apple update went live a bit earlier than the official launch time. Am I recalling this correctly? If so, do you think that 8.4 might go live before launch time? And if so, how much before 8 am do you think it'll be available?

There's really no official launch time in general. There's more or less the usual time that Apple puts out many updates, which is 10 AM US Pacific, but that's not really "official" and at times updates have come out at other times.

Well, first, the question was about how it worked out with respect to official timing in the past, and that's the part (the past) that I was addressing in relation to "official timing".

And, second, as I recall, the official mention of the 8.4 timing was removed, per the update to the MacRumors article about this.

You are correct, the exact time was edited out. I still think they are bonkers at releasing 8.4 with only an hour to go.
