I created this poll to see how many of us found 12.1 improved our LTE cell issues ( not talking about Wifi a different case and issue). I noticed after creating that under no category Sprint got misspelled to Spring LOL but cannot correct it.

I was one of AT&T Xs users who found significant improvements — specifically in my normally weak area near my house whereas my daughter found the 12.1 update made cell (LTE) worse for awhile although rebooting phone one more time after update (day later) she now finds improvement (well at least yesterday)

So some interesting results I am already seeing it looks like trend is developing. Half of you like me find improvements half do not. It looks like the no improvement is perhaps also evenly split. And harder to tell for sure but improvements seem more towards AT&T lesser so with Verizon and others like Sprint.

Thanks I see another here as well 2 to 1 verizon not working will be interesting to see if a pattern emerges or if there are equal number of AT&T and other carrier users with no improvement

as with many others my phone is blazing fast on wifi and LTE when I have a strong signal, absolute **** when the signal is weak.......maps wont load, navi wont work, webpages wont load, cant get a text to go thru etc. I am on AT&T and on latest public beta. Thankfully I am in NY area and almost always have a strong signal or wifi but when I dont I have a gorgeous paperweight.

Should have put more variables but at least this is different. So. How weak of signal? I used to get 1 bar maybe two at my house so I used WIFI a lot (always had issues with 2.4 vs 5, with earlier phones defaulting to 2.4 most of time). I now consistently get 2 half time with update and when least walls in office I can now get 3 bars out of 4 even though I do not know the real number for cell signal

12.1 gave my X LTE and WiFi connectivity issues and now I experience dropped calls in areas I didn’t before. On AT&T. I have to constantly toggle Airplane mode for my phone to get reconnected to LTE or WiFi.

Sorry for your trouble thanks for info. It looks pretty split so far in terms of major carriers, half getting improvements and half not. So far looking like it is not limited to GSM (AT&T and such) or CDMA (Verizon and Sprint) in terms of phones that were improved by the 12.1 and those which were not. Not sure what to make will keep watching results

I have that on my iPad right now. It works smoothly. I'm tempted to see if it can improved my LTE on my XS. Thing is, I still have an open case with Apple Support on an iOS 12.1 iPhone XS.

Working great in the UK on EE, this is a sim free version purchased from Apple directly.

I take it you mean either 12.1 or the beta 2 of 12.1.1 as it hasn't been released yet.

12.1.1 beta definitely helped on my end... 12.1 may have slightly helped, but 12.1.1 is pretty noticeable. I now get usable LTE in areas I previously did not with the XS Max, but did with my old Pixel 2.

Verizon with a XS Max.

[doublepost=1542293377][/doublepost]After reading comments here, I really can’t wait to get the next update!

I steer away from betas. I read what you have to do to download, then you have to undo everything to download official updates. Seems like a lot to do, unless I’m not understanding it.

I run betas all the time you don't have to undo anything. The difference is when the final release comes out you get a full 2-3GB download vs a few 100 mb for the non beta users for 12.1.X betas so you don't end up with any beta code on your phone.

Really? That’s cool. I keep reading about having to remove a profile, do something else, download official, reapply profile, update next beta.
[doublepost=1542314658][/doublepost]How do I stop receiving public betas and install the next shipping iOS, macOS, or tvOS release?
When your device is enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program, you will automatically receive new versions of the public beta from iOS Software Update, the Mac App Store, or tvOS Software Update. At any time, you may unenroll your device so that it no longer receives these updates. Then, when the next version of commercial software is released, you can install it from iOS Software Update, the Mac App Store, or tvOS Software Update.

On Verizon, 12.1 did not help but 12.1.1 beta did. First beta I have used but it was pretty easy to setup and well worth it for me.

So I finally joined beta and installed 12.1.1 b3. We’ll see how it goes.

Already one improvement i noticed instantly was faster FaceID. Not sure if it was supposed to, but it’s much faster.
