Apple should have stated that May 10th was just a pre order shipping launch date. Not, May 10th they were hitting stores. Just pissed cause I would have pre ordered like most if I would have known. Somebody must know something, June 12th can’t be the real retail store date?

The online store says Available for Pickup on June 13th for all the stores I checked.
I mean other than that. Waiting a month after launch just for instore seems ridiculous. If they would have said pre order launch shipping only and June 12th in store then I would have pre ordered. But having a launch date with no in store stock seems far fetched.
Keep checking daily on apple.com. Once apple store receives shipment, the status will change to available for pick up. Currently it would show June 13. Which means if you choose to order now and have it picked up at the apple store, it will likely be delivered to that apple store and notify you that it is ready for pick up on or before that projected date.
I agree. Hopefully they will get some non-reserved stock before then. I did order mine, delivery June 12th, so I will keep checking the stores until then.
I know, I just wanted to see if anybody had any word on when actual stock be in stores. I’m sure they are coming before June 12th. **** I will even take a rumor right now. Someone posted on another site his local target was getting some on Tuesday but I doubt that.

Apparently, you can ask if there are any cancelled preorders that haven't been picked up. I still find that weird since I'd rather have them delivered to my home if I was preordering. In any case, I doubt Apple pulls a surprise and all of a sudden have it available before the June 12-13 dates. I'm just hoping I'll be on the early side of the June 4 predicted dates.
But no stores have stock so a canceled pre order will just go to the next pre order right?
I am pretty sure they will be in stores before the 13th. Launching a product then having them in stores a month later, I mean has that ever happened? Not a delayed launch but actually saying launch is this date then delivering in stores a month later!
I’ve always had the upmost respect for Apple but these days, who knows now. I wouldn’t put it passed them to launch a product and not have it available for a month. I mean, whyTF is navy, white and moss not available? It’s makes no sense.
^you have a point there, and let us not forget the airpower, which was introduced to much fanfare but we never saw it. Lesson learned here, i should have preordered, i was cautious at first since i wanted to see first what real users think about it, and i thought it will be available in stores by May 10... ordered mine just the same a couple of days ago and got a 3-4 week wait ahead of me haha...
Ya this was a botched launch. So I bit the bullet and just ordered today! June 5th like everybody else. But they are starting pre orders in different countries on Friday and next week. So I am hoping we get ours in a week or 2 regardless. I mean start pre orders in a different country before you fulfill the first country’s orders!? How is that right!?

I managed to snag a pair from Best Buy a week or so after they released. If you’re unable to procure any from Apple themselves perhaps other retailers may be a possibility.

I never got AirPods, the stock wired ones hurt my ears, never stayed in and the hard plastic is annoying. Imma Beats X kind of guy.
