Ok i've been through such a long debacle trying to connect my white macbook to my SDTV via mini-DVI to composite adaptor and composite cables and it simply doesn't work no matter how much we tried trouble shooting it. An acquaintance then told me that the recent macbooks with hte nVIDIA 9400M graphics chips DON'T support tv out. I was wondering if that's true. Thanks.

IIRC, DVI to composite adapters rely on the optional analog signal available on the DVI pinout. I don't think this is available using the Mini-DisplayPort to DVI cable from Apple. I think you can do it with the DisplayPort to VGA cable and then something like this.
