    Morning all.

Ok as per title thread. Now I know there’s a few posts & threads already regarding this , however like all threads they go off on a tangent & it’s hard to find answers.

I’ve normally joined the beta trail on all updates around the beta 3 or 4 mark. I wish this to be no different.

iPhone X here & I primarily use iMessage , WhatsApp , occasionally Barclays (UK) app & Apple Music through my EarPods.

Now is beta 3 ok as a daily use , with the above working ok. Barclays not so much a problem as can easily log on elsewhere, however I walk to work & back (50 mins each way) & my music & apple EarPods are a must. These have to work ok.

Now could hold off for reports on beta 4 , but experience again shown me that there’s absolutely no guarantee 4 wouldn’t be worse than 3.

Yes battery could take a hit , but I can charge in the office.

I just need to know whether beta 3 works sufficient enough to get through the day. The odd crash etc I can deal with.

    Cheers guys.

Nope not at all. Thanks for it & duly noted.

Would just like to gauge more than one persons faultless experience of beta 3, especially when the very next persons reply totally excluded what I asked & only referred to beta 1.

Is that ok with you ?

Do it. I’ve been using this round since Beta 1 with barely an issue. Apart from the odd app closing down (only occasionally) it’s been rock solid for me. I bet it won’t be long till B4 hits too. Go on...you know you wanna!!

Been great on my X. Don’t use Barclays, but everything else you mentioned has been great.

I saw no difference between 11.3 betas and 11.2.5 so yes you can definitively use it as daily driver at this point.

Remember to do an encrypted iTunes backup first in case you need to go back.

(and for the love of all that is holy in the universe don't lose the password to it)

I always enjoy seeing what bugs the new update fixes, gives insight what features and issues there were and focused on.

    https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-11-3-beta-4-bug-fixes-changes-and-improvements.2108775/

[add] ... traditionally any beta will have extra code and lack optimization to some degree, so it is easier to debug but could cause sluggishness, and often worse battery life.

Back on OS X, it was the last updates to Leo, Snow, Lion and every other version that finally nailed it and got it, trouble being, the cycle starts all over again.

Only the iPhone X needed iOS 11 this year and access to finished prototypes were likely late getting out from production lines which couldn't help matters.

(As soon as iOS 13 offers the equivalent of Nova Prime Launcher and customization of the desktop, along with user defied defaults for apps, I'll be a mixed bag Mac + iPad + Android w/ an iPhone thrown in).

Im part of the beta program and really don't know much about programming so maybe take my opinion with a grain of salt.. but from what I have noticed the buggy versions of the beta are typically when new big releases first come out like the iOS 11 beta 1, 2, and 3. That is when I notice reduced battery life, some stuttering and sluggishness. Once you get into the .1,.2 or .3 releases it is all pretty stable.
