I expect the Democrats to retake the Senate but who would have thought Donny could put the House in play all by himself?

Watch out what you decide to post on. Trump's got a long way to go to equal Obama.

America's had the Decimator in Chief all along. Here in 2015:

"Obama Has Decimated His Own Party Unlike Any Other Modern President
913 lost legislature seats. 11 lost governorships."

"Last week concluded the final election of President Obama’s tenure that didn’t involve replacing him. After seven years in office and as many elections, the Democratic Party has taken a beating worse than the Republican Party took under George W. Bush."

"On nearly every level of government, Democrats have lost more seats under Mr. Obama than under any other two-term modern president dating back to Dwight Eisenhower. (This includes the dual presidencies of John F. Kennedy/Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon/Gerald Ford.)"

I'm glad she lost since Trump endorsed her, but at the same time from the little I know about her it seems like she was one of the more sane GOP congress people.

Maybe that's Trump's plan. Endorse the good ones so they'll be voted out, leaving only his tin of fruitcakes.

That might be. I know I would consider voting for a moderate Republican for the house, but I will not knowingly vote for anyone with Trump's endorsement.

I'd love a moderate Republican to vote for however, given the ever increasing levels of bat guano for the Republicans, I couldn't, at this time, vote for one.

    It gets worse for Republicans.

Republicans lost their chance to gain a Senate seat in California, where owing to the state's unique primary rules, two Democrats will run against each other after the retirement of Sen. Barbara Boxer.

This might be the real story of the 2016 election, the GOP's down-ticket loses that ultimately allow Democrats to seize not only the White House, but seats in the Senate and House.

The Republicans are making a big mistake by tying their fate to Trump's. They could have easily abandoned him and focused on retaining the Senate and house and counting on Clinton being a weak candidate that they can probably unseat in 2020. But now they won't have much of a party to rebuild, the only reason it will be close in the electoral college is that Clinton is a weak candidate. If they had nominated anyone else the Democrats would probably win in a landslide with 40+ states against Trump.

I'm hoping that Trump is the GOP's Chicxulub meteor and that after the dust settles, the GOP evolves into a serious party that believes in science, promotes America's interests, deals with the U.S. budget in a coherent way, and ejects most of the social wedge issues that keep putting the GOP on the wrong side of history.

Before the Democrats get too haughty, I hope as the GOP evolves, the DNC's mastodons die from a sudden warming period and we get to a place of serious government.

Of course, I also hope that I can make my daily commute on a pegasus.

EDIT: Checked RealClearPolitics: Clinton begins to claw back lead after May 23 polls showed Trump and Clinton running neck and neck.

Current average from RCP shows Clinton up two points over Trump, 44 to 42.

Take this to the bank: the Republicans will retain the House and the Senate.

Just an observation; not an endorsement.

I'm aaronvan and I endorse this message.

    What?

Obama is American. Not sure what your problem is or why your facts are so out of date.

Or are you using sarcasm or how Trump might call Obama nationalities other than American or hypen-American?

Are they going to block President Clinton's SCOTUS picks for 4 years and claim it's because it's too late in her term for her to be nominating SCOTUS justices?

well trumps lawsuits come out with more info.

The bulk of the cases involve his casinos. There are 1,863 casino cases and overwhelmingly, Trump is the one suing.

There are 79 cases involving branding or trademark disputes.

There are 206 contract dispute cases and in more than 2/3 of them, Trump is being sued.

There are also 130 employment cases, and in the vast majority, he’s being sued.

61 of them are related to his golf resorts.

191 of them are either Trump suing the government or the government suing him.

There are six cases involving his presidential campaign, including a class action suit over bulk text messages directed toward people who never signed up.

Surprisingly, there are only 12 defamation cases, despite the fact that he constantly threatens to sue.

He’s a defendant in 694 personal injury cases and a plaintiff in one.

There are 621 real estate lawsuits, where he is generally the defendant.

Obama is not running for any "race" or contest any more. He's a lame duck President, so calm down and don't get too excited.

The only "contest" Obama is going to care about in the next 12-18 months is wether his post-POTUS autobiography makes it to Barnes & Nobles best-seller list or not.
