    Oh my...

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/donald-trump-ranked-worst-president-215700182.html

Mr Trump averaged a score of 12.34, bumping James Buchanan – the president who saw the US descend into the Civil War – out of the bottom spot. The result comes just months after Trump finished his first year in office as the most unpopular president in modern history.

Researchers Brandon Rottinghaus, of the University of Houston, and Justin Vaughn, of Boise State University, said they surveyed 170 political science experts for the study. Of those experts, 57.2 per cent identified as Democrats, 12.7 per cent as Republicans, and 27.1 per cent as independents

While Republicans and Democrats differed on how they viewed figures like Mr Obama and Mr Bush, they were in fairly close agreement on My Trump: Conservatives voted him 40th out of 45.

    Damn..

That truly means that Harrison performed as POTUS better than Trump, and all that he did in office was die.

So, eventually someone will come to defend trump, citing partisan bias. To those people: he's a douchebag. A spade is a spade.

...and the Sky is blue. Not saying Obama was a great President, but currently Trump is coasting on the effects of his Presidency, coupled with the fact that the Economy is not generally tied to Politics. So, yeah. Blue sky.

I think it defends on how you measure “worst.” If you apply a test of which President did the most damage to the county, Trump is neck and neck with George W. Bush and both are clearly among the handful of worst presidents ever.

If you measure “worst” by basic competency, Trump is clearly close to the bottom.

    That's marketing over substantive analysis.

No, he isn’t. But, even if he were, Trump approval numbers simply show how well the con is working, not how well he has performed as president. By any legitimate, objective measure, he is a terrible president. The fact that some people can’t see that doesn’t change anything.

    Scientists, not analysts.

    - Baseball historians
    - Computer engineers
    - Transportation engineers

    Those would be the equivalents.

    41.9%.

And worse than that, Ohio 12 went for Trump by 11 points. How do you explain the recent special election results? Your boy is toxic.

It doesn't take a political scientist to come to this conclusion. Buchanan only sat on his hands while the country tore itself apart; Trump is the catalyst tearing the country apart. Huge differences.

    Cherry picking?
A political scientist is part researcher, part analyst, and part forecaster.

A political analyst does not need a degree in political science, that is the point.

It is.kinda funny that the best part of Trump's presidency was given to him by a black man.

The point is that a political scientist is a political analyst as well.

You're trapped in a fallacy concerning the disparagement by the other poster.

    To sum it up:
All political scientists are political anyalists, but not all political analysts are political scientists.
