Confirmation that the Republican nomination process has jumped the shark. Any candidate that shows up is a fool.

I hope he does too, he could probably win a few conservative states, and get enough votes in swing states to flip them to the Democrats to guarantee Obama wins.

    Your wig is fired!!!

I hope they reinforce the stage.

The Original 8, plus Trump, might just be too much ego for the existing structure.

I laughed when I heard he was "moderating" the debate.

Can this republican "debate" thing get any worse ?

Now it's a REAL reality show.

Yeah but I wish they would pick a regular day and time. Or even network! It gets real challenging to find my programs when they move them around so much. LOL

Herman Cain, the tribe has spoken. Grab your stuff and head out.

Why would they let him moderate a debate? He made a mockery of the candidacy earlier in the year.

    Don't concern yourself unnecessarily.

    Jon will provide. Amen.

(He must be doing cartwheels over this one.) :D

Well, looks like Huntsman and Paul have declined to appear on "Presidential Apprentice". Can't say I blame them.

Good for them. Newsmax is in a class with the National Enquirer and other supermarket tabloids. Sadly, the *******e crew (Bachmann, Perry, Gingrich) will show up because it's their people who read Newsmax.

Donald Trump. The man is a total snake, and is -- without question -- in the top-ten of most punchable faces in human history.

Didn't know Huntsman had made the same call...makes me like the man all the more. Saw Paul's announcement he wasn't playing that game, which again is great.

At least we've got two GOP hopefuls who haven't totally lost it

Am I the only one who read this and was immediately saddened that Herman Cain wouldn't be there? We need a new nickname for Donald Trump and only Herman could have delivered.

Again, Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman do something that makes some democrats respect them. And then I just wait until they say something that makes them unlikable again for democrats.

Newsmax isn't interested in creating a good debate to inform viewers. This stinks of a money grab, which is why Trump cares.

That will be interesting to see how the candidates use this to jockey for their relative positions. Maybe it's an opportunity to see the schism that exists within the GOP between established Republicans and the newly-minted leaders of the asylum.

I'd like to have been in the room, when Trump was told about this.

    Executive hissy-fit anyone???

I've learned to really love this phrase this year (after having never heard it before). Sigh.

If you don't come to my debate and get my endorsement, I'm going to run as an independent and torpedo your presidential campaign.

If this weren't politics, that would be blackmail.

Oh lord, can this get any more stupid??

Donald Trump calling someone else a joke.

The irony meter doesn't exist that can measure that.
