Hi all! I think I've come to the right place. I am looking to give my 3g iphone to friend in the Ukraine, and am going to buy a 3gs for me. She needs jailbroken. I've waded through a number of threads here, but what is the best way about going about this? Thank you so much in advance...

Since its a 3g you can use blackra1n.com and download the program for whatever OS you have it takes about a minute to do once done look on your iphone you should see a blackra1n icon download cydia and snow... snow basically unlocks your phone so she can put her new sim in

Presumably your friend needs the iPhone jailbroken so that it can be unlocked in order to use a local SIM card? If so, and depending on where you are, you might be able to get the phone officially unlocked. In the UK, O2 will unlock an O2 iPhone.
