Don't understand why so many people hating on the new Artist watch face. I love its artistic minimalism, a welcome change from info overload.

somewhere warm, dark, and cozy
For the past several years, I've always tried to cram as much info into a single watch face as possible. Now this new Artist face is a welcome change. I think it would be cool if it changed from a light face during the day to a dark face during the night.

What are your thoughts?

I think the nose looks weird but I'm glad they're sticking some "odd" faces in the mixture. I really like how the overall face looks when the the AOD display is dimmed.
 
I like minimalism, and I like that they used an artist designed face...I just don't happen to personally like this artist. No biggie. Still glad they did it.
 
I normally use a Modular face X3 on my work days.
But I really dig this Artist face face.
I would like to have an option to have the negative version all the time where you can only see the colored outlines with time, instead of filled spaces.
 
I went and I saw. No it is not midnight blue. Sort of a dark navy blue. It has no gray undertone. I do not like the blue loops, they're too navy. If I were to get the blue watch, which I'm considering seriously as I'm tired of black, I would match it with black band.

Art face has many different colors.
 
It's quite interesting. I'd even suggest Apple venturing into the monthly artist watch face, variations on the works of famous artists that evolve before your eyes.

I'd start with Picasso first as a suggestion, but that's just me. :)

It is very strange and peculiar. It is like seeing someone with a Ferrari eating sardines and ice cream at the same time. It looks disgusting but you can’t stop starring, because you don’t know what odd thing will happen next.

I have figured out why this face works.

It is human nature to make an eye contact and the time is on the eyes!!!!!!!!!!
