Silly question possibly but my last full ios10 backup was ~June 26th right before I took the leap of faith to 11. Not being 100% content with 11, I downgraded to ios 10.3.3 my phone went back to June 26th with e-mails, imessages etc.

I went back to ios11 to stay current with my messages and conversations, but shouldnt my messages be stored in the cloud? and if so, why wouldnt they be pulled from the cloud when i initially went back down to ios 10.3.3?

Is there anything special i can do to downgrade and not "go back in time" this time around?

It’s probably because iOS 10 doesn’t support iMessages in the cloud. It’s an iOS 11 feature.

So no way of downgrading and keeping my messages up to date then?

I think there are some programs you can google that claim they can backup and restore your messages. But I have never used them.
