Hi.

I'm trying to watch an episode of lost online and its going dreadfully slow, and it says my bandwith is below 500. I have watched several episodes before with out any video stalls. It has never warned about my bandwith. This happens occasionally throughout the year, but what causes it?

My connection is a 3mbps/512k. I tested it on SpeedTest.net and it said the connection is 2.6mbps/400k to be exact.

Many things can very a DSL/ADSL connection. Drops can occur quickly or over time.

Has any construction (new lines) been added to your home or area?

Well certain sites will sometimes be bogged down. Or maybe your ISP gets bogged down at certain times as well.

The main internet hubs in the country are under attack right now from zombie computers. Hence why everything is slower.
