Hey gys,
Just got my ipod cassic which is awesome and i love it. I was wondering though, how do I import DVDs onto my computer and then convert them to play on the ipod.

Also, does anyone know of anywhere that sells individual iscocks. I don't want to have to buy a whole box.

Thanks

Edit:Ipod socks

there may be easier ways, but I use the freeware app HandBrake to convert DVD's to mp4 format.

Is that ap a one step solution eg. you put in the dvd run the program and it coverts it straight to mp4.

is handbrake free?

Yeah, and it's cross-platform, which makes it pretty much the best solution today for DVD to iPod. Just ripped the Star Wars: A New Hope with it the other day, and I can't complain. I love how it even adds chapter markers for you.

just ripped an episode of seinfeld and it took about 30 mins. Awesome program and it's a one step process which is cool.

Thanks heaps for the heads up

Hmmm...I am going to have to try this handbrake.

Thanks for making this thread, I was wondering the same thing. :)
