Dynamic Island/Live Activities for Super Bowl

I can't seem to get this to work on any sports but maybe I didn't activate something? I hit the + in the TV app to follow the game but nothing is happening. Is there a setting to turn Dynamic Island/Live Activities on?

EDIT: I downloaded the Sports Alert app in the meantime but would prefer native alerts. Is it just not available yet?

Live activities in the ATV app are only supported for games that are played natively in the TV app and not if the game is through a 3rd party app. It's very limited.

Sports Alert is the best for US sports and there are other 3rd party apps for Euro league soccer.

Well that's underwhelming. lol. But thank you for the confirmation.

I think I knew that but forgot because it's such a disappointment.

It really is disappointing, especially since they promote your team games in the app through their integrated 3rd party channels like MLB, NFL, ESPN. The whole UX is a mess.

A tad bit late, but the NFL app now supports Live Activites for games. Something to remember for next season.
