I've been busy ergo not here. But I saw this and had to share...
From Apple Documentation
I thought Steve tried to cut back on eggs since he rejoined Apple. It's a shame, they're fun.
My name is in the Office Easter egg for Office 2000...
1. Show the Office Assistant (yes, Clippy or equivalent).
2. In any Office 2000 app, File > Open > "Office2000" > Escape.
3. Click Assistant, type "oprep zap force". Press Enter.
Then just scroll through the different pages until you see my name.
w00t!§ How'd you get there?
Don't have Office 2k, so can't see for myself.
Edit: And btw; MongoTheGeek, where'd you find that? Need to check if it's survived translation into Norwegian
I was the Product Support technical lead for Office for Microsoft's Charlotte support site... spent 5 months working in Seattle from Nov 1998 - Mar 1999 (and it rained EVERY SINGLE DAY). It was a good time... while I was there, I got to work quite a bit with Steven Sinofsky, the VP in charge of Office development (Jeff Raikes is his boss, IIRC) on Knowledge Base articles concerning metadata in Office documents (I was tasked with determining what metadata could be stored in a document and how to remove/prevent it). I still have all of the e-mails sent between us while I worked on that.
So, I and my PSS colleagues all got our names in the product... which was nice, because I think Microsoft products don't have Easter eggs in them anymore (too many corporate clients bitched about them).
Sounds very cool clayj. Do you have a screen shot for those of us without 2000?
Had to switch to Windows machine to get it... here's a snippet of the screen:
That's really cool clayj. Thanks for the pic.
Yes, thanks. That's very cool
Its from interface builder. version 2.0 and 2.1 Under the help menu choose FAQ. Look for modifier keys.
Ah. IB is untranslated, so it's the same text. Still cool to see it for myself though.
Very nice MongoTheGeek
