elgato hybrid alternative?

Hi all,

I have (had) the above elgato unit, and it is now no longer works.

I would like to replace it, but I don't need to pay the premium for the software and their packaging since I still have all that.

any suggestions for another cheaper manufacturer that works exactly the same?

I would like to know this too. I am looking for something that offers pre sales questions by phone. Still trying to figure out which options will work best for my needs and need to discuss live to explain. Thanks

I have the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950Q (http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hvr950q.html)

I use it with EyeTV 3.0. Works great.
