Embedded Quicktime video not playing.

I'm not quite sure if it was because of the 7.4 update, but ever since then I've been noticing that any embedded Quicktime videos in Safari and Firefox do not play. There's not even an error message, just a blank area.
I run a 20" Core 2 Duo iMac running Tiger.
