Well, Im glad this country may finally create a new position to deal with technology in this country (hopefully in a progressive way instead of a position that condemns the growth of tech).
I do not however think it should be the CEO of a massive company, as much as (from what Ive seen) Eric is a great guy. If such a position is created were gonna need an actual expert on the many many branches that technology spans.
Doesn't Google have more info on people than the NSA. Is that really the person you want in charge.
Exactly, as much as i think the google people are great, we dont need a person who is obviously going to pull for google to be in office.
True. We need Steve Jobs.
IMHO both would be good in a cabinet position but there would be conflict of interests considering their positions in the computer world.
I think Schmidt just wants to support Obama.
I only wish Jobs would come out of the close and support him also.
Yup, just what we need, another person with a 'reality distortion field' in the cabinet.
Yeah, but wouldn't it be nice to have an "insanely great" country?
On second thought maybe it would be a bad idea to have Jobs endorse Obama because there would be jokes about the country that fits in his pocket.
Steve Jobs would be a great head of the CIA.
Ya but he would never tell us anything.
Jobs should be the press secretary.
Instead of press conferences, we could have presidential keynotes....
And that would change things....how?
Thats exactly what I mean. There are MANY people that would be great, but unfortunatly they all have ties and shouldnt be trusted, even his steveness.
