Error message trying to open Itunes

Long story short, I deleted all my songs from Itunes, but backed it up. Everything was fine for a few hours, now I cant open up Itunes, all I get is the following message:
The folder "Itunes is on a locked disk or you do not have write permissions to this folder.

I'm gonna restart the computer and try again, hopefully I just needed to restart it.

Any help would be still appreciated.

still getting the same message...im gonna remove it and install it again and ill chime in if anything happens...

use disk utility to repair your disk permissions.

apparently

i was missing files for itunes, so i just uninstalled and installed...now I have to just refix the songs which should take me an hr or 2, but thanks for the responses,much appreciated
