European Court of Justice rules US Safe Harbour agreement invalid

    I wonder if the US companies can now get their extra costs reimbursed by the US government considering this is all a consequence of the crazy NSA spying.

    i'm not going to complain though as this will create many high tech jobs in the EU at the expense of US

    (funnily enough it's difficult enough to find english speaking hyperlinks... on german/austrian news site this is the headline news at the moment.. beating even Syria.. on many UK sites nowhere to be found yet despite the tremendous consequences for the high tech industry)

    Hopefully we will see this data being kept in Europe instead of some other type of agreement that does not get respected by the US Authorities.

    I agree with this. I don't see any reason why european data should be handed over to US authorities in bulk without any good reason.
