Two bald eagles were trapped inside a Florida storm drain Thursday in a situation that many on social media called a fitting post-election metaphor.

The pair of eagles was stuck inside a drainage ditch in Orlando for several hours. One was able to fly out on its own, while the other needed to be freed by specialists about 6:20 p.m., according to local media outlets.

At least one video shows two of the birds sitting near the entrance of a sewer before they’re both startled by an approaching person. One flies away. The other struggles to move but then ducks into the sewer.

This is the kind of dumb crap that gets posted on Facebook that gets people commenting over nothing. You're literally making the planet a worse place with this garbage.

HAaaa You mean Trump becoming president is not making it worse?

These eagles are a perfect metaphor about where our country is headed.

    Dear Wildlife:

Please brace yourselves for man made environmental disasters in the years to come.

    Sincerely, Donald J Trump

    1. He's your president.
    2. Somebody being a jerk off doesn't give you an excuse to be a jerk off as well.

He's not president yet, oh and I didn't vote for him.

And you admit Trump is a jerk? The first step is accepting.

I didn't vote for him either. He's your president. Get used to it.

Yeah sure whatever. You're worse than him then if you are being a child because you think he's being a child.

Hey this is not funny. Don't be an ******* just because you lost. Those birds were suffering and now are being used as political comedic material. Not cool.

I don't think he is being a child, he IS being a child.

Both of you should go to time out.

So when Trump disbands the EPA what would you call suffering?

Again whatever Trump may or may not do has nothing to do with your thread or my post. I'm merely saying we should stop using the suffering of living creatures to advance our political agenda. I'm a liberal who voted completely blue on my ballot by the way but after seeing how other liberals are acting I'm having second thoughts.

There is nothing we can do at this stage. The country has voted and picked republicans across the board. I support the president of the United States whoever that person and hope he is successful and improves our lives.

I can't support the president until I see he is going to change from the asshat who ran. If he is going to continue to spew hate and racism I cannot support him and if you can you are part of the problem.

Support whoever you want. Just don't say I'm part of the problem. I voted for the only person who could stop him. She failed. Now I can only hope the country does well under him.

I want the country to succeed and I want Trump to become a good president. He has to prove that, we can't just say, you are by default the best president in the history of presidents before he even takes office. I know that is what he wants us to say to him and his over inflated ego but it doesn't work that way.
