A member of the MacTalk Australia forums (Post here: http://forums.mactalk.com.au/47/51148-iphone-3g-outright-prices.html) who reportedly works at a Domayne in Sydney has found evidence of being able to purchase unlocked/pre-paid iPhones (Domayne is not a Vodafone or Optus reseller, therefore the iPhone will be sold without a contract there.) The person was reportedly playing around with POS and found prices for the iPhone. The prices are $699.99 AU for 8GB and $999.99 AU for 16GB (Image below):
These would be pre-paid or unlocked prices as Domayne is not a Vodafone or Optus reseller therefore they cannot sell the iPhone with a contract. These prices are not confirmed, they could be guesses on Domaynes part, or placeholders.
