Hey everyone,
I cannot even state how disappointed and frustrated I am with Apple, I swear I shall never purchase another apple product again.
So here is my long story short,
I had the 2014 Rmbp which when i took to the AASP they scratched the screen and then I got it replaced after contacting Apple Support since then I got three screens replaced in total as all of them suffered from various back light bleed and yellow tint issue. It was literally a pain to get all this done.
It took 3 months of my life, everyday out of which I would talk to Apple Support and send several emails to get this issue rectified and then they claimed they wouldn't do anything .

I contacted Tim Cook on his email id and got a call from the Executive Relations,
fast forward they replaced my machine and gave me the 2015 13inch RMBP which I have been using since 5months.
Just today I noticed that the screen has a mura bright spot which is about a cm long.
The service of apple in my country (India) is horrible! T
The AASP are as good as nothing .
I had a horrifying experience with my first machine, I know if I get this display changed, I have really really good chances of landing a display that has a yellow tint and suffers from backlight bleed.

Shall I take the risk or just live with the bright spot?
My new warranty of the machine expires in June,16.
I still have the email id of the executive relations guy who got me the new machine but I am sure he won't replace my machine but he will replace the display instead.

My question is which is more horrific a bright spot that appears only on white and light colors or a display with backlight bleed and yellow tint?

I literally had to struggle for 3 months everyday speaking to Apple Care for an hour just to get this replacement machine, I can't go through all of that agin!

I will be mostly traveling to the United States next year in April,so shall I get it replaced then by one of the genius bars since as I mentioned the AASP in India suck and I can't go through the lottery system of a screen again.

Please provide me with your suggestions.

You're only option as far as I can see is to call them and deal with it. Sorry that you have to deal with the hassles, but I think you only have two choices, live with it, or contact them for more warranty work.

Do you think the executive Relations will replace the entire machine again?
I have chances of getting a yellow tinted display,
Shall I wait for a few months, I am buying apple care too
So if I wait for a few months, maybe they will get a new stock of screens which will be better.

What would you do

replace it for sure. they will do it without any word i guess. Just a defected unit.. nothing special. YOu are still under warranty and you can prove now that it is not you fault. Personally i would try to do it now, instead of waiting till April.

I have already gotten my hands burnt once.
Last time I was in the same dilemma with my previous machine and I went forward for screen replacements and I can't stress in words as to how much I had to struggle.
My biggest concern is the AASP, they aren't upto the mark and the screen that I can get as a replacement might be worse.
As I had noticed, only the good screens ship with the computers, the bad ones are sent out as replacement.

Do you think apple executive relations, will repair or replace the machine?
Shall I contact them directly or shall I contact Apple Support( Again Apple Support India are a bunch of jerks that makes you regret having purchased this machine in the first place)

Can the pixel, correct itself or with any software?

You won't know until you ask? I'm not trying to sound coy, but rather high light the fact until you reach out them, nothing will occur.

all the screen units go from two 3rd party manufacturers, so it does not depend on Apple US or Apple India...just ask for reclamation until you will be satisfied. If you are not satisfied with the staff you are talking to - you can always ask for more responsible manager (higher rank)

I know but my question is it worth the risk, considering there is a high probability of me ending up with a screen that has an uneven tint and backlight bleed. The Apple Support isn't understanding, only I know what I had to go through,
There was a day where I spent 6 hours in the AASP trying to convince them and co ordinate with Apple Care.

If i get it repaired after a few months, will I be losing out on anything?

No one here can answer if it is worth the risk to you that is only something that you can answer.

Warranty is for the warranty period, it doesn't get further extended with any repair work.

FFS ring them or stop worrying, then you can deal with what they actually say rather than trying to double-guess what they might say/send/replace...

Yes dealing with a defective machine. As I mentioned you can either live with it, or get it repaired.
I am going to contact the executive relations guy who hooked me up with the replacement or shall I contact the Apple Care support and work my way up the chain?

Also is it true that the good screens only ship with the machine and all the replacements are of inferior quality?
Has anyone out here, received a perfectly fine screen as a screen replacement?

Right, that would make complete sense to keep tying up a warranty chain carrying out multiple screen swapouts at Apple's expense???
Not that way sir, most users out here have reported that the displays that shipped with their machine were much better than those that they received on a replacement.

But "most users" on here doesn't constitute any kind of valid sample of replacements as a whole. And unless you can come up with a rationale as to why Apple would deliberately pollute a supply chain for which they take repeated cost that notion makes no sense.

Well I myself have gone through that experience where I went through three displays all of them were defective in some way or the other until I finally landed up with a replacement

You seem to have very bad luck then. I've owned 4 different MacBook Pros since 2007, and while one of them did have some severe issues, replacements and warranty repairs have left me with a computer as good or better than what I took in.

I strongly suspect OCD here, BTW you should have your MBP serviced if you think it's defective and under warranty.
No needs to contact Executive Relations, since Apple is going to cover it with normal Apple Care.

Well, the extreme solution is to buy your own screen and have it installed.

I would recommend switching to a 4k Windows laptop if all else fails.

Yes does this look like OCD or Anal Retentive to you?

My previous 3 screens suffered from an uneven tint and backlight bleed while this one has a mura spot.

Well I love the colors of this screen and I am just scared that the replacement will be puke yellow or something similar and from my previous experience I have a prejudice against the replacements.

Also can more mura spots develops, what is its cause?

About "uneven tint" I stand my position.
