Has anyone else noticed this?
Normally when sleeping my external disk would spin up every couple of hours or so complete a Time Machine backup.
Since High Sierra it's constant and is incredibly annoying. The disk will spin up, stay on for about 10 seconds, spin down again... and then as soon as it is off it will turn it back on again!
Any suggestions for forcing the disk to stay quiet? Otherwise I'm going to have to start turning off my iMac overnight, which wouldn't be ideal.
