External HD for MAC and PC...

Hi,
I need a External HD for MAC (PowerBook 12") and PC (notebook)... which models is best and cheaper ? I think i buy no more of 120 Gbyte for the HD.

There are several choices,
LaCie, Maxtor and Western Digital is the most common ones.
I have heard several complains about the Maxtor's quality lately.

You can also build your own, with a firewire/usb2 enclusure and a standard internal HD.

I have ordered a Lacie D2 a week ago, they have the best overall reputation.
