External LG 25UM58 monitor for MBP 2014

since I am really unfamiliar with this topic, I am turning to you.


I am looking to expand my iOS development environment with external display.

Currently I own MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2014.

My question is, would I be able to get 2560x1080 resolution @ 60Hz via HDMI cable using miniDisplayPort Adapter? Looking at this one...

Found out by some answers that HDMI would not be enough here.
