Hello everyone, since I am really unfamiliar with this topic, I am turning to you. I am looking to expand my iOS development environment with external display. Found really good offer for ultra-wide 21:9 LG monitor http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-25UM58-P-ultrawide-monitor Currently I own MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2014. https://support.apple.com/kb/SP703 My question is, would I be able to get 2560x1080 resolution @ 60Hz via HDMI cable using miniDisplayPort Adapter? Looking at this one... https://www.amazon.com/ICY-BOX-DisplayPort-Adapter-Mini/dp/B074T8VVHP Found out by some answers that HDMI would not be enough here. Thank you.
Yes, you can. But the machine has its own HDMI port, so I don't understand why you want to include an adaptor. Additionally, I am going to advise against a monitor with that resolution. Get a 2560 x 1440 with 33% more screen real estate.
