External Speakers

My I-Mac is connected to a set of JBL Creature speakers. I was wondering if I can split the socket on the back of the I-Mac with an adaptor so I can run a parallel feed to another amp (which feeds speakers around the house). Would this be an either/or setup or could I run both together?

If anyone has an answer, other ideas or experience I'd be grateful.

should work. only problem i can see is that you may loose a little volume from the mac to the creatures. though they are powered so it will all be good.

good luck and enjoy. 'sides, if it dont work, how much have you lost? a few bucks and an hour or so.

but it should work, it is a std 3.5mm output. good luck
