Let's just keep this ********* train running. http://www.politico.com/blogs/donal...on-exxonmobil-secretary-state-232455?cmpid=sf
I can already tell that there is going to be a lot of Trump apologists and backpedaling going on. "Trump meant to do that you idiots didn't you listen to his message."
I must have missed it in Trump's 100 day plan, when he said he won't hire the most successful people in business.
No he's supposed to appoint weaklings like Kerry and Clinton so that we can lose negotiations with everyone around the world.
You do relies what campaign rhetoric is? Let's see if Obama ever backtracked, lied, or evolved his position.
Obama, like America, changed their mind on gay marriage over many years. Trump has changed his mind on draining the swamp in 2 months.
Or Obama outright lied, then shaped pubic perception, and stacked the supreme court so he could get what he wanted all along. So you're the sole determiner of what "Draining the swap" means, as well as how long it should take to backtrack, or admit you lied to get elected?
I think draining the swamp has to mean less of the same people that always get into government... Come on.
I agree. So picking the odd person from Goldman or the odd oil executive would be fine, but as you say there should be a mix of people from all walks of life.
We may agree, but I am willing to hold most of my criticism, until after he takes office, and the policies become clear.
I agree. There should be more than enough to criticize once we actually see how trump going to run things.
I don't mean any hijack but didn't Trump already appoint Branstad as the Ambassador to China? Shouldn't he appoint a Secretary of State first, then select ambassadors with the SoS's advisement? I suppose nothing prevents a president from doing it but chronologically it seems logical.
As a friend wrote, In case some haven't connected the news dots... Putin owns the largest oil company in Russia. He made a 500 Billion dollar deal with the CEO of Exxon Mobil. Obama put sanctions in place which stopped that deal. Now it's being reported that Russia did, indeed, hack into our government in order to get Trump elected. When the CIA told Congress this in September (James Comey was also in that meeting), Mitch McConnell refused to tell the American people, blackmailing Obama saying he would frame it as playing partisan politics during the election. Comey released the infamous no-information letter. Mitch McConnell's wife was picked for Trump's cabinet. The CEO of Exxon is now the frontrunner for Secretary of State. We must hold both Mitch McConnell and James Comey accountable. The suppression of this information, which allowed the outcome of an election to be in the hands of Russia is an act of treason. Mitch McConnell must be tried for treason.
Source on that deal? It sounds plausible, but with how much fake news is out there now since I haven't already heard of that deal I'd like to see something from a real news source about it.
Well it's not my claim - it's a friends. It seems legit enough given some coverage was prior as early as 2014. https://www.google.com/webhp?source...US717&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=putin+and+exxon
