What the title says.

Slightly worried that it worked in previous betas yet suddenly doesn't with Beta 8, with us being this close to the GM. After attempting to place a call, the screen becomes unresponsive, and while then the call initially works, the audio portion of the call is severely warped/manipulated for a few seconds before the call fails altogether.

Yes, I reported the bug, but wanted to see if others were experiencing this issue.

i just did it for several mins, it worked fine as normal

What’s your carrier? We’re you on WiFi?

I’ve already reset network settings, signed in and out of FaceTime, so now I’m just confused.

Well I went to restart my phone and it's in a boot loop, on Beta 8 nonetheless.

Guess I'll have to DFU restore..

Are you using Adguard pro? FaceTime doesn’t work for me with Adguard vpn enabled, but switch it off and it works fine.

Interesting. I have a MDM profile through work, so there is a VPN feature in the profile, however the VPN isn't on by default.

Seems like Apple did a real sloppy job at testing iOS 11 against MDM profiles (or maybe MDM profiles are just outdated..)

We have plenty of devices on MDM managed by JAMF, and having no trouble at all. This sounds like an issue with your phone.

Well they replaced my phone, so must have been faulty hardware!

As an FYI, I never go to the genius bar with beta software. Regardless of it being a public beta or not, they'll likely just waste your time by forcing you to DFU downgrade clean restore to latest software, which is what I did prior to going in :) So I just saved myself some time. I was in and out in 10 min with a replacement phone.

Did they run any actual tests on it? (IE, making a FaceTime call?). I wonder if a technician just wasn't feeling it today, and swapped it to move on.

I guess I left out some details. The phone started malfunctioning in other ways, too. It wouldn't restart properly, screen was hanging, etc.

I was able to quickly demonstrate those items so they replaced it. I will agree, it seemed all too quick and easy.
