I would like to do a FaceTime with some friends in France. When I raised the suggestion, they were concerned about charges. They seem to think that they will have to pay fees to FaceTime between the US and France.

This would only be between MacBooks (no iPhones, if that matters).

I don't understand why there would be a fee or a charge. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

There are no fees or charges of any type to use Facetime, unless of course they're going to go over their bandwidth limit or something from their ISP.
