I have a problem with FaceTime that I cannot seem to fix. My brother used to have an iPhone, a Mac and an iPad but now has an Android phone. The problem is: His phone number still seems to be registered for FaceTime. When I try to call him using my iPhone, it will always try to reach him on his phone number, which is no longer active on his other two devices (only his email is). This will result in me hearing the FaceTime dialing noise but his devices won’t ring. The only way I can make the call go though is to delete his phone number from his contact. That way FaceTime will use his email address to call him and the call will go though. I have already tried using the iMessage deregister tool but that just says that the phone number is not associated with iMessage. It looks like FaceTime and iMessage are separated in that regard. So is there any way to either: -Disable FaceTime for his phone number or -Force my phone to call his email instead of his number without deleting the number or creating separate contacts?
