Here are a few facts everyone needs to know about the 16” MBP Before Buying.

#1. It’s still a 12 year old CPU design 14nm that’s still Vulnerable to Spectre and Meltdown it’s a 9th Gen
#2. RAM is limited to 2666 MHz
#3. The Display has a lot of issues. Not HDR10 compliant despite being 500nits, Apple own page says the color spectrum is Limited to Millions of Colors which confirms it’s just an 8-bit IPS panel. Lastly it’s Not 120Hz ProMotion like the iPad Pros.
(Apple hopes you don’t notice this and just focus on the thinner bezels)
#4. You are gonna want to punch an infant next year 2020 Samsung has begun production on 16” OLED laptop Display gee I wonder for what customer ?
#5. AMD GPU 5500M is on AMDs own site less powerful than Xbox One X which hits 6 TFLOPS and the 5500M just 4 TFLOPS
#6. Worst of all IMO, Not WiFi 6 complaint or Ready for a Laptop and how important WiFi 6 is this is inexcusable.
#7. No one asked for 6 Speakers in a Laptop it’s not necessary use the space for something else. Like more vents

So if you guys are cool with buying A 2018 MBP with a 0.4” Larger Display that’s on you. I’ll waive from the next Starbucks table with my 16” OLED MacBook Pro soon.

1. It's Intel, even 10th gen is still vulnerable, so only other option would be Ryzen. Since there are no Ryzen Macs, there are no other choice.
2. So what?
3. Kinda agree, not a deal breaker, though.
4. Really? I couldn't care less about OLED. I don't need Apple Logo permanently etched on top left of the screen.
5. It is still very good for laptop GPU.
6. Couldn't care less, but I agree some might find this a problem.
7. Seriously? How is having better speakers a con?

Its seems you're bending over backwards to slam the laptop, where as the concensus is that apple hit this out of the park in terms of delivering what consumers wanted.

#1 So, you're making this a negative and the age of the cpu design is immaterial. I will concede the vulnabilities but they can and have occurred in other cpus as well.
#2 So
#3 Not issues, but lack of improvement. Its a gorgeous screen and frequenty the measuring stick others are measured by. Apple indeed should be looking to provide 4k/120gz/144hz screens
#4 that's a horrible thing to say, and the future is always improving technology. OLED has their own issues including burnin
#5, Then buy an Xbox one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Apple was never about playing games, and the while I'm not an AMD fan, it seems powerful enough for the majority of consumers buying laptops.
#6 Wifi 6 is barely out of the gate, and its such new technology. I don't think this is on Apple, but rather intel as its their chipset
#7 Apple is the best at providing features no one asked for and creating a great product. You referenced the iPAd and its 120Hz screen - same exact situation, no one asked for and now its a must-have feature. Looking at other laptop reviews, speaker quality is almost always a major point to consider. I don't get why you're complaining that apple is improving the audio experience.
#8 You forgot to complain about apple giving us a 100 wh battery because it made the laptop a few grams heavier

First off, there has never been a 15.6" MacBook Pro. 15.6" is a common size for 16:9 screens, MBP has always been 16:10.

Speaker complaint is pointless. Display tech being the same is not a huge issue, OLED on laptops needs a bit more time. 120Hz will likely come with OLED or MLED.

Maybe I’m stupid, but how is Apple going to take a 15.6” Samsung OLED panel and put it into a 16” screen laptop?

Those displays aren't for Apple laptops, and never will be. They are already on the market, asus, dell, lenovo, etc., are already using them. 16:9 is something Apple won't do in MBP line.

And that's one of the really PRO decisions they actually make and stick to. And if they ever decide to change to some other ratio, well, I hope it's 3:2.

I have a lot of complaints for Apple. But your complaints are really silly :)

Just using off the shelf parts you can get a significantly better MacBook Pro if people would just wake up.

a 10nm CPU new architecture and new instruction set would dramatically improve Video Rendering alone, not to mention security flaws being fixed in hardware. 10nm Intel 10th Gen is needed. With 10th Gen support of 3200Mhz LPDDR4 RAM you have a significant gain there alone. I’m not buying 12+ year old CPU Architecture

a 16“ 120Hz OLED Display people are gonna be mad as Mississppi tick in heat next year don’t say I didn’t tell you so.

WiFi 6 that’s all I’m gonna say go look it up my Note 10 Plus has it.

needs More vents for cooling

a 100Wh Lithium battery is the max allowed by Fed Law on passenger airlines. But it’s still just a square brick. Apple has patentes and is working with LG Chem to design L-Shaped LiPo batteries which would make better use of space and not just have to be a thicker brick.

Its like they are selling you 90% the same Laptop as last years. With nothing tangible

WiFi 6 would have been tangible
10th Gen 10nm CPU would be tangible
a 16” 120Hz OLED Display would be tangible

What did we get ?

an 12+ year old vulnerable CPU 14nm
6 speakers (hope it has a BEATS logo on the side)
a thicker battery
a 0.4” larger non HDR 8-bit 16 Million color IPS Display (uh 2009 called they want their display back)
WiFi 5 (not WiFi 6)

lastly there are at least 5 OLED Laptops on the market in 2019 all 15.6” ish display made by Samsung. All of the panels and if burn in was an issue we would have seen significant numbers of complaints.

Read the bolded parts again, repeatedly - let it sink in

What size is apple releasing? Oh yeah a 16" laptop. Not a 15" ish

Also look at the wide color - its full P3, very few laptop displays offer full P3 support

Does it run macOS?

OP, come on. I’m all for opinions and differing viewpoints but can you at least present them in a mature way? No one is going to take the opinions of someone seriously with a comment like “punch an infant.“

Do better.
Agreed maybe my presentation isn’t as polished as it needs to be. I would say look at the message before others are attacking the messenger. I can not in good faith let people praise Apple for this 16” MBP

and someone else point out how does Apple takes a 15.6” OLED Display and call it a 16” MBP Display eventually. And I’ll say the same way they take a 6.3 Galaxy OLED Display and call it a 6.4” IPhone OLED Display just thinner bezels or they contract Samsung to make them a custom 16” OLED Display now that Samsung has successfuly fielded and proven the laptop OLED market they have the massive capabilities and capacity to fill an OLED order from Apple.
