This would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Nope, extreme violence is not an issue for "families" in an M rated game, same sex relationships are.

Are you kidding? Darth Vader is pure S&M material and don't tell me Hans and Luke aren't sporting a little sexual tension there. What's next, cartoon characters make you gay? oh.. right...

Skyrim got some heat for having gay relationship choices in it recently. Stunning that it's even an issue anymore, especially in the generally progressive gaming community.

Any MMO you play will have LGBT-friendly legions and SW:TOR is no different.

Anyway...this is monumentally mean and stupid, though not totally surprising. According to these guys, you're supposed to be queer for Jesus.

I guess they haven't gotten a copy of Mass Effect 3 yet.

So Star Wars is a kids movie huh? Hmmm....didn't know that killing people (even entire planets full of people) was considered family material now.

Nice to know these "family" groups have their priorties (ahem) straight.

Massive multi player games require a monthly fee to play. I'm guessing their target audience isn't children.

Expose your children to Harry Potter. Targeted directly to children, the story line develops from violence to brutality through cold-blooded murder right into martial massacre. Not puppies and daisies in the slightest. Maybe that is the reason kids eat it up.

I would say that JK let the story line mature with her core audience.

Good point. However that doesn't mean that it's really acceptable kids material. I know a lot of kids eat that series up, but there are a lot of complex story interactions. Even I had a hard time keeping up. I couldn't imagine trying to keep the details straight if I were 6 or 7!

That being said, people really don't seem to much care if their kids are exposed to all kinds of violent images in the movies these days. But show two people of the same gender giving a little peck and all hell breaks loose. Maybe that is why we are so messed up as a species.
