    Is it ok? It's their company so I guess they can do whatever they want. However, if they hope to survive the mess they are creating they would be wise to step up their game when it comes to privacy.

    It’s a company gives you a free product and takes billions of dollars to run. What did people think they were doing with all that data? Same with google. Pretty sure the TOS explains things like this.

    To me this isn’t about scooping up user data. No one is shocked there.

    It’s more about the hypocrisy of Mark Zuckerberg imo. Obviously he knows anything online isn’t private. It never was just the illusion.

    That’s why he instilled a special program to allow his data to be wiped after a certain time frame.

    For years he’s been peddling this concept of a social utopia where everyone is so connected by being completely plugged into his machine...a machine so great that he has built his own private escape hatch for himself and his buddies.

    Hypocritical, but not surprising. His ideas are so disturbing that you’d have to believe that he was either a snake oil salesmen or simply nuts.

    Not in the EU. You can require companies to erase the data they have on you.
